From Concept to Drawing

Question: "How do you take my ideas and turn them into drawings that will eventually be carved in stone?" Answer: "With patience, and one step at a time." We try to be good listeners, because the most important thing for us is to hear what you have to say. It is a time of discovery, as we meet with you to hear about your ideas and aspirations for your special project. The more you can tell us, the more we can begin to get a picture of the theme and style that would be appropriate to fit the bigger picture of what you are envisioning. Perhaps initially your need is more along the lines: "Help me come up with the style which is going to be right for our life and tastes!"

The first renderings we do for you will be quite informal, even sketchy. These are intended to form the basis for a good brainstorming session, where you give your feedback. Ideas will be bounced around, and we'll start to solidify and define the design concepts. After this we can usually begin to make drawings for you with more detail and an emerging theme. We begin to home in on just the right look and feeling to make sure the stonework will add the right dimension to your surroundings.
